About Us
Racing Electric Motorsports – International Hellenic University (REM-IHU) is the student research racing team of the International Hellenic University in Serres. Founded in 2018 by Mechanical Engineering students, the team was created with the vision of bringing innovation and engineering excellence to motorsport.
REM-IHU designed and built the first fully electric racing motorcycle in Greece, and competes in the international MotoStudent competition at the MotorLand Aragón circuit in Spain, where university teams from all over the world test their prototypes through a series of demanding static and dynamic challenges.

Overview
Over four racing seasons, REM-IHU has evolved from a student initiative into a competitive electric motorsport team with international recognition.
Season I — Hyperion
2019–2021
During our first racing season, we developed Hyperion, the first Greek electric racing motorcycle, with which we made our debut in the MotoStudent competition.

Season II — Helios
2021–2023
In our second racing season, we introduced Helios, achieving 10th place in the final race and 12th overall in the standings.
Race result • 10th in final | 12th overall
Season III — Apsimon
2023–2025
Our third racing season rewarded our efforts with Apsimon, a prototype that secured 2nd place in the playoffs and 9th place in the final race, among 43 competing teams.

Season IV — Next Chapter
2025 – Today
As we begin our fourth racing season, we build upon seven years of experience, research, and technical expertise. Our goal remains clear: to push innovation further, elevate our engineering capabilities, and become more competitive than ever before.

Who We Are
REM-IHU is a multidisciplinary team, bringing together students from various academic backgrounds and with diverse skill sets. United by a shared passion for engineering, technology, and motorsport, our members collaborate across all fields—from design, aerodynamics, and electronics to manufacturing, logistics, marketing, and race operations.
Together, we aim to advance electric mobility, promote hands-on engineering education, and represent our university on the global motorsport stage.
